The coffee takes its name from a town called San Marco in Ocotepeque. San Marco is located in a valley where all the coffee grown in the surrounding mountains get funneled to and collected by Inaginsa, the only exporter that has a complete milling station in the area. The coffee is SHB EP (Strictly Hard Bean) (European Preparation) made from the arabica varieties Lempira and Catuai.
